Carp’s Landing has now opened.  This new downtown Lake Mills restaurant and bar, located at 103 S. Main St., features traditional dishes served with interesting sauces and flavors.  They will be open for lunch through dinner, 7 days a week.

 Carp’s Landing is located in the previous Joseph Megaan’s Restaurant location and has been closed for remodeling.  The redesigned bar room includes a new bar with more seating and a stage for live music and Karaoke.  There is also more seating in the redone back dining room, upstairs dining in the Landing, and an outside patio.

The new owner, Greg Carpenter, has worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years, all over the United States and locally.  He wants to bring the taste of Arizona, Hawaii, Colorado, Florida and Alaska to the menu. Greg (Carp) was raised in Lake Mills, and has finally “landed” back in town.

 Greg says:  “I’ve always dreamed of opening my own restaurant, and there’s no better place than my hometown to share my favorite experiences and flavors. I invite you to relax and watch a ballgame, or enjoy a unique, home cooked meal with your friends and family.  I’m very pleased with the improvements, due the hard work of the local contractors, and our friends and family who helped us through the construction.”

 All the food is homemade per order, featuring in-house smoked items with BBQ sauces, pastas, sandwiches, and salads. They also have a Margarita menu, hot sauces to add to Bloody Mary’s, daily specials, and of course a Friday night fish fry.
